Stewart Transformers is established as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of a wide variety of Liquid-Cooled Power Transformers. Standard units are available in the range up to 2MVA while applications range from standard earthing products to specialised units for use in railway trackside power supplies.

Other recent developments include an oil immersed naturally-cooled 33kV transformer fitted with ANSI pattern HV bushings for use with dry type XLPE cables, and an 11kV auxiliary supplies transformer fitted with a fuse switch direct-coupled to LV terminal box for control of the outgoing supply.

Liquid-cooled transformers may be mineral oil (to BS 148 :1998) Midel, or silicone-fluid filled (Dow Corning) and in hermetically-sealed of free breathing configurations.

Units can be supplied with Tank Pressure Relief Devices (PRD’s) Buchholz Relays, Winding Temperature Indicators, :Liquid Temperature Gauges, Off load Tapping Switches, Auxiliary Fuse Switch, and Oil Level Indicators
